    In the past Trim has been active, but in the background . IE-when tabbing through active apps it’s not seen .
    But now it’s not in the background, it’s there when tabbing through active apps .
    What gives ?

    Not sure what you mean. Trim works in the background even if the app is closed. Once Trim is enabled you can exit the app. No need to reopen it on reboots.

    Ok, so I can remove it from the “login items” then . ?
    Should Trim be visible in activity monitor ? Because I’m not seeing it .

    Yes, you can remove it.
    No, it does not need to be running at all. The functionality is loaded from our 3rd party driver along with macOS.
